Granular Platform Projects

In 2020, I worked on several Platform teams at Granular, designing responsive web concepts and cross-product experiences to support other teams and product lines. Here are some things I worked on.

Single Sign On

We heard loud and clear from users - farmers are tired of going to 5 different programs to manage their farm business!

In addition to transitioning users to single sign on for all products in the Granular ecosystem, we also introduced the option to sign up and log in with a phone number, solving a customer pain (many farm operators don’t have working email addresses).

I gave account and operation settings a facelift, using design patterns with scalability in mind, in case we add more content here in the future.

Roles & Permissions

I conducted research and conceptualized how different user personas, such as farmers and advisors, can collaborate (or not!) within Granular. I also helped drive the vision for the future of roles & permissions, switching from ambiguous role titles (admin, viewer) to  persona based roles (owner, advisor, operations manager, etc.)

Inputs Workflows

An “input” is any product that gets applied on a field, such as a seed or fertilizer. I designed mobile-first workflows for using single inputs, creating mixes or blends of multiple inputs, and adding custom inputs to the farm catalog. These are essential components of a farmer’s planning, budgeting, and inventory management workflows.
